Course Description
Course Aim:
To provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to enable them to safely climb a structure, work safely at height and have a working knowledge of hazards and emergency procedures.
Objectives:
Key learning objectives are to gain an understanding of:
- Legislation when working at height;
- Inspection and use of Personal Protective Equipment;
- Access ways – protected & unprotected;
- Climbing techniques;
- Temporary fall arrest systems;
- Risk assessments;
- Hazards when climbing and related emergency procedures.
A written paper and assessed climb will be used to measure attainment of objectives.
Course information:
The course will consist of classroom based and practical tower tuition. Delegates will climb a transmission pylon in Izumi’s specially-designed training area. Emphasis will be placed on safety and rescue procedures under the supervision of a qualified instructor.
Delegates are continually assessed throughout the course.
This course is certified by CPD.
The course is given over 1 day.
Individual training or group (maximum 4 delegates).
Training takes place at Izumi Products UK Ltd, unit 4B Hatfield Way, South Church Enterprise Park, Bishop Auckland, DL14 6XF.
Cost: £165.00 per person or £660.00 for a group
